Article: Migos Net Worth 2019 - 2020

Migos Net Worth 2019 - 2020

The band Migos’s net worth stands at $50 million, a hard working, talented band that performed 93 shows in 12 months, which is quite impressive. The three band members, therefore, each roughly have a net worth of roughly $16 million. The rap group set off from Lawrenceville, GA, originally and formed in 2009. Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff being their names, right off the bat, one can see they have creativity and originality. They did not start having success in the mainstream world until 2017, even though they started up 8 years earlier than that.

Quavo’s bday is on April 2nd, 1991, and his birthplace was Athens, Georgia. His full name is quavious Keyate Marshall. He grew up in an area called Gwinnett County, and lost his dad when he was only 4 years old. His mother worked as a hairdresser. Offset’s full name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, and is actually cousins with Quovo. They grew up together. He is now married to Cardi B, a fellow rapper in the music world. Takeoff’s full name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, born on June 18th, 1994, in Lawrenceville, GA. He is the youngest of the group, and is Quavo’s nephew! He also grew up in Gwinnett County. And probably the biggest aspect of their lives for us the public to know: Takeoff’s mother raised all three of them, and she is also Quavo’s older sister.

The beginning of success was with their song “Versace” in 2013. Incredibly, that was four years after the group became a band, as mentioned before. That is is a long time and some might have thought was a prelude to a not-successful career. In 2015, their album “Yung Rich Nation” was released with the help of Australian producer Yifei Hechen. “Bad and Boujee” that came out two years later set them on the path to serious mainstream fame. It spread to many memes online with the text “rain drop, drop, drop top” which are lyrics to the song. It became number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. That same year, the album Culture came out and hit number one on US Billboard 200 chart. Some other album names and their release dates are as follows:

  • Juug Season (2011)
  • No Label (2012)
  • Streets On Lock (2013)
  • Solid Foundation (2014)
  • Still on Lock (2015)
  • Yung Rich Nation (2015)
  • 3 Way (2016)
  • Culture (2017)
  • Culture II (2018)

They are now managed by Couch K, who was manager in the past for Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy. They have won awards from BET Hip Hop Awards, Billboard Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, Grammy Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards, Teen Choice Awards, and MTV Europe Music Awards. Migos can even be attributed with setting fire to the trend of dabbing.

Quavo and Takeoff started practicing their rap potential with mixtapes, like Crunk Boy in 8th grade. When people laughed at them for their music, Offset spoke up for his cousin and Quovo convinced him to join too. They first called their group Polo Club. They speak proudly of the way they worked hard for money. The song “Bando” is a reference to a bando, which is an abandoned house where drug trades take place. This song heralds back to the days that they had to engage in this activity to pay for what they needed to physically do musical recordings and also be able to buy what they needed to “look” like rappers.
